Dignity's Alcove, INC
"Nonprofit group is back on track after getting a second chance to use a $377,000 grant to provide transitional housing for homeless veterans..."

"... the VA estimates that 154,000 veterans are homeless on any given night."
These are men and women who gave thier life to fight for our nation's freedom.
When a Veteran returns home, he can't just take off his uniform a be who he was when he left. War shows a man and woman how evil human life can be.
Their eyes have been scared with images they will never forget.
Thier souls have been tortured with pain they can never let go.
Their ears have been damaged with sounds death and fear.
Veterans have returned home with wounds we can not see.
They have been forced to accept the wounds we can see.
These men and women have given life,
Just as they have been forced to take.
Now it's our turn to help them find peace and acceptance for fullfilling thier obligation
and thank them for our continued freedom!
Dignity's Alcove is an outreach program for Homeless Veterans. Our services support Homeless Veterans in the Northern California Central Valley area.
Dignity's Alcove offers individualized services that are molded to each homeless Veteran that meets their individual needs. The services offered to each Veteran is developed to
effectively help homeless veterans break the cycle of homelessness.
We do it to give honor back to the Veterans!!
We do it because we believe in helping our fellor Veterans!!
We do it because our Veterans deserve it!!
We do it because we can't depend on others to do it.
We do it because it is an honor to help our fellow Veterans!!
In addition to the complex set of factors affecting all homelessness -- extreme shortage of affordable housing, livable income, and access to health care -- a large number of displaced and at-risk veterans live with lingering effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder PTSD and substance abuse, compounded by a lack of family and social support networks.
Our top priority is to offer a secure, safe, and clean housing that offers a supportive environment which is free of drugs and alcohol.
Veterans helping Veterans. A mission that can succeed with
strategic planning, determination, dedication, and team work.
